London theatre trip

How it worked

Friends invited -> friends pledge -> money collected -> money spent -> good times!

Vandana created a Wigadoo invite and emailed it out to her friends. She wanted at least 8 people to pledge £35 each by Friday. She wanted 8 people because then she could get a great group discount.

By Friday, 9 people had signed up. 3 more signed up the week after. Best of all, Vandana knew that no one would pull out because they had all pledged.

Vandana then collected slightly less than she'd asked people to pledge because the tickets were cheaper than she thought they'd be.

The money went into an online event account which came with its own virtual prepaid MasterCard®. This meant that she could pay for the theatre tickets on TicketMaster straight after she'd collected the money.

They all had a great time and loved the show!

What is this online event account?

The account is actually a Prepaid MasterCard® account for transactions made online or over the phone.

What does that mean?

Well, that means we generate an account for your group that comes with a MasterCard® account number (and expiry date and security code) so that you can spend the money instantly online or over the phone. As well as pooling your friends' money into one place, you get the convenience and security of MasterCard® to spend it.

How can I spend the money?

You can simply use your MasterCard® account number to pay for your event online or over the phone. Or, if you'd like to, you can also transfer money to your own bank account.
